I Play Rocky

About this event

"As Stallone battles homelessness, finds love, and writes his way into a cultural phenomenon, director Peter Farrelly and his team land their punches."-Brian Tallerico, RogerEbert.com "Ippolito recovers the human under the layers of waxy pop-culture build-up and reminds you of why the country fell for the guy in the first place."-Ty Burr, Ty Burr's Watch List An electrifying true story about an unknown actor with an unshakable belief that he wasn't just meant to just write Rocky-he was meant to be Rocky Balboa. Told "no" at every turn, Sylvester Stallone bets everything on himself, holding the line on playing the lead against seemingly impossible odds. The result is the ultimate underdog story behind the ultimate underdog movie.
