- ➤ Girl Scouts have launched a new cookie called Exploremores today — a rocky road-inspired sandwich cookie with chocolate, marshmallow and toasted almond crème — that is available online and at local booths, with proceeds supporting Girl Scout Troops through April. KDAT
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Iowa Workforce Development said the state’s unemployment rate dropped to 3.5% in November from 3.7% in September as 22,400 more workers joined the workforce and 4,600 new jobs were added in health services, wholesale trade and construction while the labor participation held at 67.5%. KCRG
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A state report has renewed talk on community colleges offering bachelor’s degrees, but Kirkwood Community College said it will focus on current programs to meet local workforce needs.
