- ➤ Google has decided to seek annexation of its planned $1 billion data center site into Palo — bypassing Linn County's strong water protections. Linn County officials have asked Palo to maintain strict environmental regulations as the 545-acre project unfolds. KWWL

- ➤ Congressman Zach Nunn said families of Iowa soldiers killed in action have been notified, and nine wounded have arrived at a U.S. base in Germany where doctors + medics are providing care. CBS 2 Iowa
