GasBuddy reported that Iowa gas prices averaged $3.17 today, up nearly 55 cents from last week amid rising oil prices and market concerns.

Experts warn that prices may climb further this week as supply risks continue.

City View Community High School in Hiawatha will host an open house today from 5 to 7 p.m. at 1770 Boyson Road to show local students and families its project-based learning, community internships, and college-level courses.

Today, the Cedar Rapids Community School District board will vote on cutting 33 teaching positions, including 7 at Washington High School, to help close an $11 million deficit.
