- ➤ Volunteers are restoring a 1920s storefront in the Time Czech neighborhood through a Brick by Brick Finish Line fundraiser. Save CR Heritage bought the building last year and is working on HVAC, plumbing and electrical updates — the project will transform it into an architectural salvage shop and community space. - ➤ We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym will hold its grand opening on Saturday at 10 a.m. at 3281 Armar Drive in Marion, offering a sensory-safe play space for kids with autism, special needs and neurotypical development. CBS 2 Iowa
- ➤ Communities in Johnston and West Des Moines gathered Saturday to honor Major Jeffrey O’Brien and Staff Sergeant Declan Coady (Iowa soldiers killed in an Iranian attack in Kuwait) with memorial services celebrating their service. KCRG
- ➤ Twelve women veterans were honored with Quilts of Valor at a ceremony Saturday at the Marion American Legion — the quilts were made by the Freedom Stitchers of Iowa and join more than 1,000 veterans recognized for their service. KCRG

- ➤ Faith leaders met Saturday, March 21 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids for the Called to Climate Action Conference, where over 140 people learned about clean water, energy, and local food systems through workshops and a documentary screening (Iowa’s Dirty Secret). CBS 2 Iowa

- ➤ The Iowa Department of Transportation will open a new diverging diamond interchange at Boyson Road on I-380 after an overnight closure from 9:00 p.m. Sunday to 6:00 a.m. Monday. Crews are installing pavement markings, final signage and activating signals to improve flow and safety. CBS 2 Iowa
