  • Christian Brothers Automotive opened its Cedar Rapids shop – 3740 Westdale Parkway SW – on March 30. The repair shop offers routine maintenance, diagnostics and major repairs and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.  KDAT
  • OneroRx acquired NuCara pharmacies and Home Medical locations in Iowa and Minnesota to become the largest rural-based pharmacy in Iowa. It will rebrand the acquired stores as Medicap Pharmacy or Medicap Home Medical and expects to fill five million prescriptions a year.  KCRG

  • Family, friends and community leaders welcomed 200 Iowa National Guard soldiers returning from the Middle East deployment on Thursday at Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids — Governor Kim Reynolds and Major General Stephen Osborne honored the soldiers and remembered two who died in service.  Radio Iowa

  • Iowa families with disabilities reported Medicaid cuts that threaten key care while advocates urge lawmakers to boost funding amid a $90 million shortfall+ some lawmakers have raised taxes on health plans and may increase tobacco taxes to cover costs.  KCRG

  • Developer Steve Emerson plans to turn three long-vacant downtown office buildings into apartments using tax incentives and his own funds to meet growing housing demand. The conversion comes after years of rising vacancy rates along I-380.  KCRG

  • RAGBRAI organizers announced the 2026 route for the ride that will start Sunday, July 19 in Onawa and end Saturday, July 25 in Dubuque. The 391.4-mile course is the shortest-ever and includes a 16,027-ft climb, passing through towns like Turin (among others).  KCRG
