- ➤ A crash blocked the left shoulder on I-380 southbound near Exit 22—32nd Street and Glass Road—which delayed traffic yesterday morning, officials said. CBS 2 Iowa
- ➤ The Cedar Rapids Fire Department responded Wednesday afternoon to a fast-moving garage fire on 4th Street SW at about 3:00 p.m.—the fire quickly spread to four nearby buildings, damaging a home with melted siding and two cars while the cause remained under investigation. KWWL

- ➤ Cedar Rapids police investigated a pair of shootings Tuesday night near 16th Street and Washington Ave. SE, where officers found several homes and a gas meter hit by gunfire, controlled a gas leak, and later returned when a car was shot + interviewed children who were then released without charges. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Board of Regents proposed a plan to raise tuition and fees at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa; UI and ISU would see a 3% tuition increase while UNI would see a 2.7% rise. The increases would add about $339 at UI, $304 at ISU and $265 at UNI, and the first proposal reading will be held next week. Radio Iowa
- ➤ On Tuesday, Cedar Rapids Community School District announced it cut 27 central office staff positions due to budget shortfalls and low enrollment.
