  • Czech Village & New Bohemia and Main Street Iowa will hold a public input session today from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the City of Cedar Rapids Services Center to review community survey results and shape the future Main Street district.  CBS 2 Iowa

  • Hy-Vee is offering a limited-edition cereal called Caitlin's Crunch Time in partnership with basketball star Caitlin Clark—now available at all stores for a short time—and her share of sales will benefit the Caitlin Clark Foundation, which supports youth in education, nutrition, and sports.  KDAT
  • A new grocery store might open in Wellington Heights if the City Council approves a rezoning request for the historic Idlewild Grocery Store site at 1626 5th Avenue SE—a property built in 1910 that once served as both a store and a community church center. Developer Brad Bergeson said the proposal was inspired by the closure of the 1st Avenue Hy-Vee last year.  KCRG
  • The Cedar Rapids City Zoning Commission approved rezoning three parcels near Interstate 380 for a new McDonald’s, pending final approval at a public hearing on May 27; the 4500 square-foot location will feature a drive-through + an attached parking lot with a traffic study underway.  KDAT

  • City officials will vote on a rezoning request for a site on the 1600 block of 5th Ave. SE to allow BB Properties to open a new convenience store in Wellington Heights, aiming to relieve the food desert created after Hy-Vee closed 11 months ago.
