- ➤ The city of Cedar Rapids is looking for artists to create a public art project that will honor the history and character of the Wellington Heights neighborhood along a three-quarter mile stretch on 15th Street SE. - ➤ College Community School District will provide free summer meals to children under the Summer Food Service Program at Prairie Heights Elementary, Kirkwood Estates Mobile Home Park Community Center, Kirkwood Reserve Apartment Complex, and Prairie Crossing School. Meals are offered Monday through Friday on a first-come, first-serve basis, with Prairie Heights serving breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Kirkwood Estates offering breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. while Kirkwood Reserve and Prairie Crossing serve lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. — children under 18 may receive meals at one location only and must eat them on-site.
