  • The documentary 'Jackpot: America’s Biggest Lotto Scam' will premiere June 3 on YouTube TV as it reveals new details of the 2010 lottery fraud in which a computer technician manipulated software to claim millions, leading to Eddie Tipton’s prosecution. Former Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich, who worked through the controversy, says the film uses exclusive interviews and evidence—like the phone call that sparked the investigation—to tell the untold story.  The Gazette

  • This summer, Kirkwood will launch its KICK Career Camps for students (ages 12 to 16) to explore careers in construction, auto tech, pet grooming, marketing and culinary fields by working with industry professionals. The camps will run weekly on Kirkwood campuses and cost $200 (with tuition assistance available for qualifying families).  The Gazette
  • BELIEVE in CR Schools is collecting 5,496 voter signatures to place a $117M bond on the November ballot that will fund renovations at four schools—modernizing historic facilities and converting Wilson Middle School into an elementary school. The campaign, backed by families, the Metro Economic Alliance and local business leaders, follows the school board’s unanimous approval of petition language today.  The Gazette

  • Gov. Kim Reynolds saw most of her priorities pass as lawmakers approved bills to expand rural health care, limit cellphone use in classrooms, require hands-free driving, enforce Medicaid work requirements, and lower unemployment taxes—while her proposals on child care and energy policy stalled.
