- ➤ A new Boys & Girls Club facility called the Busse Unit opened Wednesday in Wellington Heights, offering a 19,000-square-foot space with a game room, gym, recording studio, and kitchens for kids and teens to play and learn. - ➤ Andrew Shaw, a Cedar Rapids man accused of hiring two hitmen to murder a Walker man in 2018, is scheduled to appear in Linn County court on Wednesday to discuss pre-trial topics as his defense asks to withhold some evidence and demands a speedy trial — he pleaded not guilty to charges including first-degree murder, solicitation, and conspiracy. - ➤ Weekend Rehearsal returns to Greene Square as part of Summer in the Square with Thursday concerts from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at $5 admission.
