- ➤ According to GasBuddy's survey, Iowa gas prices fell by 7.7 cents per gallon over the past week and now average $2.97, which is 2.2 cents above last month's price and 31.2 cents lower than last year—nationally, prices will fall further ahead of July 4 if tensions in the Middle East ease. - ➤ City officials announced flood and traffic control improvements at the Cedar Crossing Casino site that include a flood control levee, F Avenue reconstruction for improved two way traffic, and a new roundabout at the casino entrance as construction continues on the $275 million center scheduled to open in late 2026. The southbound off ramp from Interstate 380 at Penn Street in North Liberty will close today for about three months while widening work continues to add a third lane in each direction—demonstrating the city’s coordinated effort to support new development.
