- ➤ On July 5th, 35 people from 20 countries took their oaths at the Field of Dreams movie site and became naturalized U.S. citizens + marking a key moment during the Fourth of July weekend. KCRG
- ➤ Trooper Paul Gardner from Iowa State Patrol warned drivers against speeding by showing before-and-after photos of a 2014 Chevy Camaro that crashed and killed three teens at speeds up to 150 mph at a Goodguys event in Cedar Rapids. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Iowa native Logan Luft died in a vehicle accident after a parade in 2017 and his choice to be an organ donor saved five lives. His father now supports a program that lets hunters and fishers sign up as donors when buying a license (a change that fits Logan’s love for the outdoors) while his mother hopes families will talk about organ donation on his death anniversary.
