- ➤ HACAP hosted a resource fair on Saturday to help expecting mothers cope with rising baby gear prices, as tariffs raised costs on items like car seats, cribs, and strollers by $100 on average (70% of the gear is made in China). KCRG
- ➤ Thousands of ping pong balls dropped in downtown Cedar Rapids on Saturday, August 2 near Green Square Park and the Public Library at the Downtown Farmers Market as residents gathered for the Big Drop fundraiser hosted by Cedar Rapids West Rotary. - ➤ More than 1,000 anglers attended the 23rd annual Fish-O-Rama at Robbins Lake on Saturday as they tried various baits to win prizes ranging from water bottles to $5,000 cash.
