- ➤ An Eastern Iowa man faced 10 charges after allegedly leading a high speed chase on Wednesday in Cedar Rapids near 3rd Avenue and 5th Street SE—police disabled his car in the 4200 block of 1st Avenue SE and found methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, and drug paraphernalia. KCRG

- ➤ University of Iowa Health Care and its Community HomeCare affiliate sent letters on August 29 to roughly 211,000 people after an unauthorized access on July 3, when cybersecurity experts shut down servers and restored systems within one business day—UIHC’s main records were not affected but some personal files were accessed and recipients were advised to monitor their accounts.
