- ➤ Moy's Food From the Streets opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant at 4201 42nd St NE in Cedar Rapids, serving Latin American street food like street tacos and sandwiches. It operates Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. + the space is in the former Pizza World location, marking a new chapter for the local favorite. KDAT

- ➤ Supporters of a proposed $117-million bond for Cedar Rapids Schools say that three middle schools did not meet ADA requirements for early voting sites in Linn County—pointing to a need for facility upgrades before voters head to the polls on Nov. 4. - ➤ The Cedar Rapids Community School District ended its three-decade partnership with the Academy for Scholastic and Personal Success after a federal funding threat forced the district to cut ties—resulting in a loss of over $60,000 for the nonprofit. - ➤ Officials from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the U.S.D.A. announced that H5N1 bird flu was identified in a commercial turkey flock in Calhoun County, prompting Governor Kim Reynolds to declare a disaster.
