- ➤ On Sunday, UNI education students took part in a poverty simulation where they paid monthly bills like a mortgage, groceries, and utilities to learn the struggles of low income families. The exercise showed that missing a key payment can lead to eviction + it helped them see firsthand how hard it is to cover basic expenses. KCRG

- ➤ A Polk County sheriff's detective is raising money for Simpson College memorial scholarships—meant to honor fallen officers Sgt. - ➤ Dr. Jason Schmit from Parks, Schmit, & Fuller Orthodontics in Cedar Rapids explained that new tools such as TADs, clear aligners, computer-assisted bracket positioning, and 3-D printing have improved patient care over the past decade.
