EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Cedar Rapids Community School District reported a slight drop in enrollment for the 2025–26 school year, with 13,945 students registered — 622 fewer than last year, a 4.27% decline.   • A study by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources found that Iowans throw away 200 pounds of food at home each year and 300 pounds when food from businesses is added.
