- ➤ Cedar Rapids declared a snow emergency starting at 6 a.m. today+ as crews brace for a major winter storm expected to drop 10 to 12 inches of snow by tomorrow morning. Residents must follow odd-even parking rules and clear sidewalks+driveways to help officials keep roads safe. CBS 2 Iowa
- ➤ The Iowa State Patrol is reminding Cedar Rapids drivers during the busy holiday season to plan ahead and use a sober ride—nearly 18 percent of adults admitted to driving under the influence and troopers are ready to help via a nonemergency number.
