ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ At 3:55 p.m. Saturday, Cedar Rapids firefighters responded to a kitchen fire on the 7200 block of Rolling Ridge Drive SW and found that four dogs and two cats escaped safely while the house sustained heavy kitchen damage; the cause remains under investigation. KWWL
- ➤ Firefighters responded a little before 8:30 p.m. Saturday to burning cardboard bales on the 1100 block of Ingleside Drive SW in southwest Cedar Rapids — nearly all city resources were deployed and work to contain the fire may continue until Sunday evening. KWWL
